What's wrong with this picture?

  • a. Photos of old machines are cliché
  • b. The image is over processed and cartoonish
  • c. The colors are pumped up unnaturally
  • d. Relax... it's only a picture
  • e. All of the above

  1. Or some people are drawn to nostalgia.

Your picture reminds me of a Norman Rockwell cover. Just out of the frame is the farmer, hiking up his overalls by the shoulder straps, and young Jimmy, eagerly looking forward to a day on the farm.

  2. Ok, I'll bite. I like the image itself, but I always like images of antique equipment. I'm not a big fan of over processing images, especially with HDR or over saturated colors. I might have chosen another way to post process this. Perhaps a B&W conversion or a sepia type treatment would work well here. The bottom line is, if you like the image, there's nothing wrong with it.

  3. The only thing wrong with this is I didn't take it myself. I like this very much, so there is nothing wrong with it that I can see.
