I was cycling home along a dark country lane, the wind was driving fresh snow across my path and suddenly a large white duck skimmed over my head and landed on the tarmac in front of me. I had to stop and push it onto the verge with my foot - it just didn't want to move and kept quacking at me! In all the many thousands of miles I've cycled, that's never happened before!
