Glacial erratics - stones and rocks that were transported by a glacier, and then left behind after the glacier melted - are scattered throughout the Adirondacks like fleas on a mangy dog. I find them fascinating and have quite a few pictures of them, probably enough to create yet another body of work.
FYI, highly recommend a hike (1.5 miles, gentle slope) up Castle Rock which can be viewed across the lake from The Hedges waterfront. Spectacular view.
I spent many a summer in the Adirondaks, especially near Lake George. Your pictures are bringing back fond memories.
