Here in Florida the governor has signed what's been dubbed the "Don't Say Gay" bill that prevents teachers from talking about non-traditional relationships and sexual orientation. This in my opinion is an overstep of government by legislating morality. Weather I agree or disagree is not the point. The Republican party places great priority on freedom, except when it disagrees with he norms they hold.
Don't mean to get political but it is nice to see some push back. The organization behind this has placed 800 of these billboards throughout Florida.
John, our governor has passed a law making it illegal to teach critical race theory in public schools. This has meant teachers are now afraid the state is going to arrest them for crossing some ill defined right wing political belief. This means the state is now about 600 teachers short. Newly graduated teachers are refusing to teach here. The right wing needs to stay out of schools and classrooms. Beside, they haven't a clue what critical race theory is anyway. Your governor is scary.
