Door in the doorway

  1. There's something about "head on" images of doors that flicks a switch in my brain. I can never resist an example like this one and would have done exactly as you have done. I don't know what it is but I'm gradually accumulating a bit if a collection of them!

John, I certainly have an affinity for doors: not only their shapes and their embedding in the facade or situation is interesting, but also their meaning - a place of transition, a borderline where the private interior meets public space. And in this sense for a long time doors were created, adorned, equipped. I like them for all these aspects, too.

  3. Every day I check out your photos, and every day I am delighted with what I see. Well, okay, not every day because you don't post as often, but most. When I came to your blog today, I had such a sense of surprise and wonder at your photo. You have an amazing ability to see things.
