In the distance (and behind an obstruction) is Kodak Office, the main administrative building of Eastman Kodak. In the early 1980's Kodak was the largest employer in Rochester with about 62,000 workers. Today they are in third place with only 7,500 employees... and a shadow of their former might. The decline of silver photography, and the revenue stream that it provided, has changed the company forever.
Still, having over 7,000 employees, Kodak is not a small company. It remains an important technology innovator, but a smaller one.
