Bridge and tree vines

A sunny spring morning and a pathway over a brook... but what I find interesting is the tree on the far side.  It is covered with vines.

I have photographed and posted this type of growth before in this same park but do not recall seeing it anywhere else.  Not sure if it is one plant or a vine taking over a tree.  Detail view below.
