City of art

Santa Fe is a mecca for art lovers. There are over 200 art galleries in Santa Fe, and then there are a half dozen world-class museums that feature not only history but presentation of art. I was told that Santa Fe ranks number two behind New York City as destination for art collectors. And it is not just indian or southwest art... there is a good representation of many styles even including contemporary abstract painting and sculpture.

Not bad for a comparatively small town with a population of only sixty thousand.
