Genesee Junction

Just south of Rochester, near Jefferson Road, the Conrail line crosses the Genesee River. This day ice is slowly flowing downstream heading for the city, then north to Charlotte and into Lake Ontario.

Melting snow

An institution since the 30's, it's know for it's Southern style cooking. And don't forget the sweet potatoes and collard greens.

Still standing

Back in May of last year I posted a photo of this building and pointed out that the walls were separating and in eminent danger of collapse. Now nine months later the stability of the structure is even more precarious, yet it is still standing. Even though you can see straight though the building it continues to defy gravity, even with the weight of snow on the roof.
