Chlorophyll
It really is magic if you think about it.
In high school biology it seemed pretty simple... green chlorophyll converts light into energy.
But when you read about how that happens you come across phrases like "resonance energy transfer" and "electron transport chain" and "chemiosmotic potential." Suddenly you realize it is really complicated. Seemingly a miracle.
Without that extraordinary pigment we would not exist, nor would any life on Earth as we know it.

Glen Park
This little pocket park, in the Village of Williamsville, NY, has a large waterfall and several ponds that are home to many ducks, but I found the secluded, out-of-the-way details to be more interesting and less congested.

Botanical
I have shared photos from the Buffalo Botanical Garden before, located in South Park. A nice place to visit any time of year.

Fourth of July
I aways forget the date of the Fourth of July holiday :-)
But anyway, happy holiday if it is a holiday you celebrate. And no offense to my friends who are citizens of other countries... especially any of you that live in England. I celebrate and honor your great nations as well.
With all the rain we have had lately (will it ever end?!) I had to layer in some blue sky and clouds, so shame on me for not being real.

Context
I suppose the blades of grass in the lower right corner give it away. Without that clue this could almost be a moss covered rock cliff, or the wall of a deep damp revine.
Wide angle viewpoints provide context, but sometimes focusing on intimate detail can be more engaging.
