While strolling though the park one day...

It was a pleasant afternoon walk through Congress Park in Saratoga Springs, NY. I looked up and saw what appeared to be a rustic bird house and thought, isn't it nice that someone cares enough to add that extra touch.

But on closer inspection I realized, big brother was watching.

Children's toys are almost always bright colors and often primary colors. I wonder if this because young eyes cannot see colors well unless they are intense? I don't think so... if anything it seems they would see everything vividly just like they have keen sense of taste (which makes many vegetables taste too strong and left on the plate). But maybe I am wrong, and young eyes do need bright primary colors.
