Greenway

Our community has a number of trails that cut through the preserved natural areas of the town. We are lucky to have beautiful and safe places to bike or walk while separated from motor vehicle traffic.

Changing color

We have had unusually warm weather over the last week but the calendar tells me it is now autumn, and as the foliage has begun to change color, I see that it is so.

Back to the canal

Before I retired I walked the canal path almost every day. And my previous place of employment was also near the canal, although a different section. Yesterday I was in the area and had some time to again try another path along the canal. It is a great place to walk and a terrific resource.

Dog walker

A gloomy morning on the canal path. The unusual mist rising over the waterway is a result of a wide temperature swing: 87° F one day, and only 42° F with light rain the next.

A welcome splash of spring along the Canal Path. At some point someone took it upon themselves to poke a few crocus bulbs along the walkway... for others to enjoy.
