Toys in the window

Children's toys are almost always bright colors and often primary colors. I wonder if this because young eyes cannot see colors well unless they are intense? I don't think so... if anything it seems they would see everything vividly just like they have keen sense of taste (which makes many vegetables taste too strong and left on the plate). But maybe I am wrong, and young eyes do need bright primary colors.

  1. Or perhaps those bright, primary colors catch the attention of parents who buy toys for their children. They look bright and happy. Most toy makers are selling an image, and most toys sit idle in a box or closet.
