Trite and ordinary
My blog focus is supposed to be "observations of the trivial and unnoticed", but sometimes I drift into "obvious and too often noticed" territory. This post represents two trite and ordinary photos, although pleasant and pretty good quality.
The water lily is interesting in that it was photographed with my little waterproof camera while floating by in a kayak.
And the sunset is perhaps a good representation of the end of the photo series from this year's visit to the Adirondacks.

On the rocks
I have had 3 shrubs die this year, probably because of the unusually hot dry summer, but they were planted in good soil that the bushes could spread their roots into. But here we have substantial trees growing on impenetrable rock, and looking quite healthy and happy.
Of course water is available, as is the irony.
