Looking at the sign (not the big one, the little green one) I wonder what it means and who it is for. Certainly someone passing in a car will not see it and even if they did, what does it mean? Often you see mile markers on roads but this does not seem to be a mile marker.
This must be some sort of mile marker for road workers. It must be in code.
