Flower ball

So is it a flower ball, or a ball of flowers? Either way it is quite an amazing specimen growing wild along the trail.

Yellow and blue trim

Not a typical color combination but I think it is attractive and cozy looking. I think someone creative must live there.

Shades of green

Shooting in the rain while holding an umbrella is quite a juggling act, but the saturated colors are worth it.

Quick fix?

It's no secret the nations infrastructure needs some help. Here in New York State we hear about the many bridges that are potentially unsafe.

Maybe this is what they are talking about?

This bridge is over the canal leading into Pittsford on a main road. Every evening when I leave work I see are lots of cars and trucks sitting on it, held up, trying to make their way to the East suburbs.

So we see here some fixes have been made. The steel reinforcement looks moderately stable, but how about those wooden timbers apparently wedged into place? Perhaps these are only temporary, but still it gives me pause.

Building bridge

I have always been fascinated by this bridge that connects two buildings of the Eastman School of Music. It spans an alley, not a street and seems more ornate than really necessary. Also it is constructed and connects at a strange angle. The more modern lower bridge (partially shown) is much less interesting and conventional in it's geometry.

Wild flowers

All the rain we have had recently has been good for the wild flowers. I love the colors of the season especially, the fresh new hues of spring.

And, of course, the bugs are colorful too.
